The 20th anniversary of institutionalization of mediation in Israel was celebrated at The University of Haifa on the 29th of May. On this occasion the University hosted a conference titled “The 20th Anniversary of Institutionalization of Mediation in Israel: Revolution that Failed and the Development Prospects”.
The title of the conference itself demonstrates that experts and practicing mediators’ hopes of quick development of mediation market in Israel failed. The undue enthusiasm was replaced by disappointment coupled with more proper evaluation of mediation prospects in the future.
Guests from the USA, the Netherlands and Russia took part in the conference along with Israeli mediators. They shared information about the mediation market in their countries.
